The Gluten Free Chef Of The Year is Organised by Coeliac UK, the national charity for people with coeliac disease. Contestants will need to design a three-course gluten-freemeal to be judged by celebrity chef Phil Vickery.
Three finalists in each group will advance to a live cook-off on 8 November.
Michelin-starred chef and Gary Rhodes right hand man Adam Gray will be judging alongside Vickery. “I’m very excited to be one of the judges” said Gray. “I’m interested to see – and taste – what innovative gluten-free menus the competitors design and cook.”
The recipe competition comprises two categories; Gluten-free Chef of the Year for those who cook for a living and the Up and Coming Gluten-free Chef of the Year for those who are still in training.
