THIS MAY RESTAURANTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL BE TAKING PART IN A FUNDRAISING APPEAL TO RAISE VITAL FUNDS FOR HOSPITALITY ACTION.
HA Week, takes place from the 14th-20th May and will involve a whole host of fundraising activities across the entire hospitality industry. You can find more information on the week at their website www.hospitalityaction.org.uk
As part of the HA Week activity, restaurants will be asking diners to add an extra £1 to their bill in support of charity Hospitality Action.
Chef extraordinaire Michael Caines, a patron of HA, is supporting the appeal and will be operating supporting the scheme in Michael Caines Abode restaurants in Chester and Manchester.
He said: “Simply by adding a discretionary donation of just £1 to your bill during Hospitality Action Week, you will provide a vital lifeline to those in need in the hospitality industry.” To find out more or to read Michael’s invitation letter to restaurants, please click here.
The first two HA Week’s raised a fantastic £120,000 through an array of exciting events and this year they hope to continue the amazing fundraising.
Penny Moore, CEO, Hospitality Action said: “Over the past year, we’ve seen a 15% increase in funds spent on those in need, as many households struggle in the economic climate. Hospitality Action relies solely on donations, so industry support is vital to the work we do. ‘At your discretion’ has been created to give restaurants a simple way to raise money for their industry charity.
