The 11th ‘Salon International de la Gastronomie’ (International Gastronomy Show) – EXPOGAST 2010, will take place from the 20th to 24nd November 2010 at the ‘Centre d’Expositions et de Conférences des Foires Internationales’ – Luxexpo, in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
Expogast will exhibit equipment and installations for use in hotels, restaurants and cafés, for bakers, pâtissiers, confectioners, ice cream makers, butchers and delicatessen owners, caterers and cooks, and for use with drinks and food suppliers.
As well as showcasing equipment and installations the ever popular CULINARY WORLD CUP will be held.
The British Culinary Federation has announced the UK team which will be competing for the country in November. Roux Scholar, England’s 2011 Bocuse d’Or competitor and current Knorr National Chef of the Year, Simon Hulstone will co-captain the team along with Mark Hill, Executive Chef of the House of Commons. The 6 chef team (supported by students from the University College Birmingham) will be required to produce a three-course menu for 105 covers, plus an International Buffet.
Simon Hulstone chef-proprietor of the Michelin-starred Elephant restaurant in Torquay said, “We’re taking a varied senior team who can do both pastry and savoury. We’re going over there to set the standard for other English teams in the future.”
